This BIP aims to explore the social dynamics of coastal communities in the face ofclimate change, fostering an interdisciplinary approach that
integrates sociology,anthropology, tourism studies, and environmental sciences. Through a combinationof on-site and remote activities,
participants will engage with key themes such asbeach erosion, the management of Marine Protected Areas (MPAs), the role ofecomuseums
and artists in environmental awareness, citizen science engagement,and the preservation of maritime culture.
Organitza:
1) Online interactive sessions (10h), including: a) Interactive Lectures: Expert-led sessions on human-naturerelationships, cultural views on climate change, and its socio-politicalaspects.b) Thematic Case Studies: Analysis of global and local climate changeimpacts on tourism, livelihoods, and social practices, with aMediterranean and Adriatic focus. c) Collaborative Workshops: Hands-on application of multidisciplinarymethods to examine climate issues through team-based learning. d) Guest Panels: Discussions with researchers, community leaders, andactivists on the link between climate change and cultural practices. e) Final online session: debrief and program evaluation.
