Conèixer els mètodes i les tècniques que assisteixen en la gestió de la informació dins de l’ empresa o un determinat entorn. Dins del qual s’inclouen mètodes per identificar, estructurar, modelar y gestionar la informació. També es considerarà la informació que prové del coneixement i que s’empra per prendre decisions estratègiques i importants. Entendre les diferencies entre un ‘Sistema de gestió de la informació’ i un ‘Sistema de informació. Aprendre totes les etapes per desenvolupar un sistema de informació específic que permeti la futura implementació d’un sistema expert basat en coneixement
